Motor brush kit for Iskra, Mahle and Letrika electric motors. Brushes wear out using motor, so it's safe to expect to have to replace them at some point. A gradual degradation allows you to use the same brush kit even for years, obviously it is all commensurate with how much you use it. The brushes are located under the iron or aluminum cap, on the opposite side of the rotation shaft or where the motor is coupled to the pump or manifold of the control unit. Once the cap has been removed, it is then possible to see the brushes that remain in contact with the rotor through supports and springs. If the engine is not running consistently and suddenly stalls, it may indicate a problem. If you need to hit it with a hammer to restart it, or if you notice black dust near the motor in the control unit, it is likely that the brushes are worn or depleted. In these cases, replacement of the brushes is necessary.
