The red universal battery detacher key is used to activate or deactivate a switch, which brings or takes power to the tail lift. Once the key is removed from the battery-switch there is no doubt that the tail lift can somehow absorb energy from the battery! In the pin part that fits inside the switch, there is only one pin.
